Jodie is a Senior Associate as well as a NSW Law Society Accredited Specialist in Family Law. Jodie for more than 10 years has been assisting her valued family law clients on the beautiful Northern Beaches. Jodie is renowned for working out a number of alternate dispute resolution techniques including mediation wherever it is possible to do so. It is with this experience that Jodie can resolve issues in a timely matter and efficiently without the involvement of courts and length legal proceedings. When this outcome is unattainable, Jodie is experienced in representing clients at all stages of their court process even if a fallout has happened with a previous law firm. Jodie is passionate about family law and assisting clients achieve the best solutions possible for their families so that they can get on and enjoy life.

Jodie practiced family law with Doolan Wagner and Callaghan at Dee Why for eleven years before joining Doolan Callaghan Family Lawyers. Jodie has also undertaken legal work in a large CBD based specialist family law firm and worked for the Australian Law Reform Commission undertaking professional legal research.

Jodie has a sensitive and practical approach which she brings to each of her matters. She understands the many varied issues that arise following the breakdown of a relationship and is well placed to assist clients to move forward and achieve the best possible outcomes for themselves and their children.

Jodie is dedicated to helping clients reach agreement on all matters that may arise following the breakdown of their relationship. Where this is not possible, she is a determined and thorough advocate and regularly conducts matters before Judges and Registrars in the Family Court, Federal Circuit Courts, District and Supreme Courts and the Local Courts.

Jodie possesses professional legal research skills and attends conferences both locally and around the country to keep up to date with the latest legal developments. She ensures that her clients at all times are kept informed about their matter and their options for resolution at each stage.

In addition to assisting parents to resolve day to day parenting issues, a large part of Jodie’s practice involves acting for clients in relation to complex parenting disputes including matters involving same sex parenting disputes, international relocation, child sexual abuse and matters where there are mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues that impact on parenting.

Additionally Jodie regularly assists clients to negotiate property, child support and spouse maintenance matters. She has significant experience with complex issues and large asset pools including where there are hidden assets and assets overseas. She represents clients in relation to all aspects of property settlement including division of property, issues concerning superannuation, companies, trust structures and the like.

Jodie grew up on the Northern Beaches and continues to live on the Northern Beaches with her family.

Christopher Lapointe

Chris was admitted as a solicitor in 1991 and is an experienced family lawyer with a “settlement focused” approach. Chris has extensive commercial business experience through previous self employment in the finance industry and understands complicated company and trust structures which are helpful in resolving complex financial disputes arising in Family Law matters. Being commercially minded helps Chris settle his property related matters for his clients in a timely and cost effective manner.

Christine is a NSW Law Society Accredited Specialist in Family Law. Christine’s broad experience, understanding nature and many years of experience in Family Law ensures a sensitive, practical and efficient approach. Christine places a strong emphasis on family dispute resolution, mediation and effective negotiation with the aim of resolving matters formalised in Consent Orders, whenever possible, without the need for client’s to appear in Court. Christine cares deeply about her clients and finding the best solution for them.

Helen is keenly aware that most people who seek Family Law advice from her are experiencing an extremely difficult period in their lives. She possesses a committed approach to securing the best possible outcome for all clients as expeditiously as possible. Helen’s strong communication and interpersonal skills also ensure that the best needs of her clients are met.

Margie O’Neill

Margie has a practical, empathic and determined approach in helping clients achieve the best possible outcome for them and their family. This includes assisting clients with property settlements, parenting arrangements, child support issues, de facto matters and relocation disputes. Wherever possible, Margie tries to resolve issues without the intervention of the Court. If required however, she is a dedicated and confident lawyer who can successfully represent her client’s best interests in the Courtroom.
